Paid Summer Office Hours

Are you teaching a summer class?  Full and part-time faculty are entitled to one paid office hour for each unit you are teaching in the summer.  For example, if you are teaching a 3-unit class you can be paid for up to three office hours during the summer session or 30 minutes a week for 6 weeks.  The same holds true if you are teaching a lab section.  If you are teaching your class online, your office hours can be online.

Make sure you let the dean of your division know how many office hours you will be holding and when you will have them by Monday, May 15.

All faculty are paid their teaching rate for summer office hours.

Sincerely,
