Union Update #1
Public EB Meeting & Union Update #1
Negotiations
Negotiations resumed the first week of classes, on Fri, Jan 12, and will continue weekly. CCFF and the District continue to make progress. We have reached tentative agreement on several contract articles already. Updates will be emailed to all faculty on a regular basis throughout the spring semester.

If you have questions about negotiations, please contact the Negotiations Chair, Kimberly Rosenfeld at krosenfeld@cerritos.edu.
COPE (Committee on Political Eduation)
The COPE Committee will hold four meetings this Spring semester. They will take place on the fourth Tuesday of each month (Jan 23, Feb 27, Mar 27, Apr 24). The first meeting this month, on Tue, Jan 23, will be in LC 51 at 4 pm.
The committee has solidified a procedure for endorsing candidates for the Board of Trustees. The next goal of the COPE Committee is to decide whether to expand its scope to endorse candidates outside the community college board. If you’re interested in offering your opinion to the COPE Committee, please contact the COPE Chair, Lyndsey Lefebvre at lyndseylefebvre@gmail.com.
COPE is now on the Action Network and will contact COPE contributors through the network. To view this page, click here.
Lobby Day 2018
The CFT Lobby Day will take place Tue, Jan 30 in Sacramento. Three faculty representatives from CCFF will lobby for faculty, students and the college community. They will join fellow faculty representatives from around the state to meet with state officials and discuss what’s important to educational institutions to further our collective goals of improving conditions for campus communities.
If you have any questions about COPE, the COPE Committee, or Lobby Day, please contact Lyndsey Lefebvre at lyndseylefebvre@gmail.com.

Golden Handshake
While the Golden Handshake it outside the purview of the union, the CCFF can ask the District questions about the Handshake for faculty. If you have any questions about retirement contracts that you’d like to ask the District, please send them to the CCFF President, Stephanie Rosenblatt at srosenblatt@cerritos.edu.
Final Grades
The union is conducting a survey that asks faculty how many working days (after the last day of finals) they need to complete their course grades. Please take the survey at this link.
